Este conjunto de fotografías son el resultado del fotomontaje de dos imágenes. Las imágenes en blanco y negro son fotografías rescatadas de antiguos álbumes de familia encontrados en anticuarios, y las imágenes en color son fotografías de un mural hoy eliminado.
Ambas fotografías contrastan y generan cierta tensión por la mezcla de imágenes en blanco y negro y en color. Así como por la representación del pasado y presente respectivamente, haciendo referencia a una realidad virtual y anacrónica, a manera de crear o generar otra identidad, lo que otorga al fotomontaje un encanto singular; reforzando la noción de prueba o testimonio de algo o alguien que en un momento existió.
Reflejan un modo de no pertenencia, al situar a los personajes de las fotografías fuera de su contexto habitual. A pesar de estar en un entorno -que en apariencia podría resultar atractivo-, este no deja de generar cierta incomodidad, y al que al parecer eventualmente las personas retratadas en otra época tendrán que adaptarse.
This series of photographs are the result of the photomontage of two images, The black and white images are photographs rescued from old family albums found in an antique shops, and the color images are of a mural today removed.
Both photographs generate tension and contrast by mixing images in black and white and color. As well the representation of the past and present respectively, referring to a virtual and anachronistic world, a way to create or generate another identity, which gives the photomontage a unique charm; reinforcing the notion of proof or testimony of something or someone that once existed.
They reflect a way of not belonging, by placing the characters in the photographs outside of their usual context. Despite being in an environment -which in appearance could result alluring-, this continues to generate some discomfort, which eventually the people portrayed in another era will have to adapt.
